part 4/4 Make An Art Journal From 4 Bits Of Paper

Finishing off the 4 Bits Of Paper Art Journal ...

If you are like me, you know how scary the white journal page is.

Like an empty room, it's not friendly.

I added art prompts, doodles, tape and scribble.

Now when I feel like using this journal I have an idea to start with. Or cover up and start again.

I would love to know how you get over the 'white journal page.'

Make my day, and leave me a comment :-D

  1. Great idea! I don't normally have a problem with white pages....I just throw some paint on them. I find backgrounds easy....it's what to do with them afterwards that's the problem. I'm going to follow you on "bloglovin". I'm stopping via Jennie's TAT. I like your style!

    1. Liking your style too, Rett :-> It's interesting to hear different points of view, but it's helpful to hear others say 'pbbt! we laugh at the white page! we laugh, and then we conquer.' Love it.

  2. I just read about you on Jennibellie's Tell All Tuesday. Abd I wanted to respond to your question in regards to white paper syndrome in art journaling. I do 't have it. I am more intimidated by pages that already have colors and textures on them. I like starting fresh. I think if anyone has a block when they sit down to do art, then they should crank up the radio and let your brush-pen-marker-pan pastel flow! LOL

  4. I understand how people feel about the blank page. It is complete, in that form, but it is also tempting, and I use that fact to motivate me. I will deliberately open the book to the blank page , or put the canvas on the eisle ,in a place I pass often, to taught myself with it. Sooner or later the overwhelming erge to subvert the perfect compleatness overcomes me, much like a blank wall to a graffi artist, I just cant resist the temtation.

    1. :-> You are right of course. The white page is also a gorgeous thing - which could secretly be why I jump onto them so enthusiastically xox
